Field Report: April 16, 2017 April 16, 2017 by overthefenceurbanfarm614 Leave a comment Another busy week, including our first (and very successful) plant sale and hotter than normal temperatures combined with little rain. High tunnel was filled with tray of plants for the our perennial plant sale. We sold yarrow, echinacea, aster, sedum, and chives, as well as some coleous and a couple of extra herb plants that were hanging around. The educator in me loved making informational signs and talking to folks about their choices. Sold out on bagged greens. Pick more next time around! The first Easter Egg Radishes of the season were ready right on time. Chickens did their job too. Should have prepped more lettuce for sale… Damn proud of this Purple Elegance Lavender I started from seed. Now I have to keep it alive in the garden which I haven’t been able to do in the past. Foreground: Spring planted garlic. Behind: Fall planted. Spinach does NOT like the heat. And neither does the tatsoi. Until next week. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading... Related
